FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A man driving a truck in Fayetteville Tuesday afternoon lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pool.
The accident happened around 1:15 p.m. at the Stoney Ridge Apartment complex off Morganton Road.
The driver, described as an "older man," was driving his Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck when he ran a red light and hit another car on Morganton Road. He then crashed into the pool.
Crews spent all afternoon getting the truck out. The water was about 5 to 6 feet deep in the pool, and the truck was completely submerged.
The driver was not hurt. There was no word on whether he will face charges.
