Judge Bars Former Raleigh Officer From Law Enforcement

Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Former Raleigh Police Officer Nicholas Jackson, 25, pleaded guilty to charges of insurance fraud Wednesday.

The judge barred him from ever serving as a law enforcement officer again.

In October, Jackson reported his wife's 2000 Honda Civic stolen. Investigators say Jackson stole the vehicle to get the insurance money.

Another officer, Floyd Liddick Jr., is accused of helping Jackson falsify the report.
