Fort Bragg Canine Nominated For Special Honor

Posted Updated

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — A Fort Bragg war veteran is one of the nation's top dogs.

Last year, WRAL brought you the story of Fluffy, an abused Iraqi police dog. American Special Forces recruited him to help with security.

Now, Fluffy is a finalist in the

Pedigree's Paws To Recognize

program. The program recognizes the work done by dogs to help humankind.

His competition includes a search and rescue dog that responded to the Columbia disaster, and a member of the Customs department's Beagle Brigade.
