DURHAM, N.C. — Police are asking for information about a hit-and-run accident that left a woman critically injured on Feb. 24.
Vonnie Jones-Swinson was walking north in the 200 block of Guthrie Avenue between East Main and Taylor streets aat 1:49 a.m. when she was struck by a sport utility vehicle that left the scene and was last seen going north on Guthrie Avenue.
Jones-Swinson was critically injured, but she is recovering from her injuries.
Investigators believe the vehicle was a 2000-2004 silver Suzuki Grand Vitara or Suzuki XL-7 SUV. The vehicle sustained damage to the right headlight and minor body damage to the right front corner.
