Wilson County Deputies Investigate Nightclub Homicide

LUCAMA, N.C. — The Wilson County Sheriff's Office is looking for the suspect in a fatal shooting outside a nightclub on Saturday night.

According to investigators, the homicide occurred in Wilson County in the parking lot at Gonzalos' nightclub at 4610 U.S. 301 south of Wilson. The victim, identified as J. Cesar Soto Villa, a 34-year-old Hispanic male, from Snow Hill, N.C., was shot while leaving the establishment by an unknown Hispanic male.

The suspect was described as 5 feet 6 inches tall, 28 to 30 years old, with a long, thin narrow face, light skin, and black hair pulled back in a pony tail. The suspect was wearing green camouflage pants and a white T-shirt and was armed with a black semiautomatic handgun.

The suspect got into the passenger side of a white, full-size 1999-2000 Dodge Ram pickup truck, with extended cab and an eight- to 10-inch gray stripe down the side.

The driver of the suspect vehicle was described as an Hispanic male, 5 feet 3 inches tall, 150 to 170 pounds and 25 years old. He was wearing a white cowboy shirt and dark pants.

Three other people also were in the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen traveling South on U.S. 301 toward Lucama, N.C.

Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to call the Wilson County Office of the Sheriff at 252-237-2118.

Information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects will be held in strict confidence and will be forwarded to Crimestoppers for a reward.
