HARNETT COUNTY, N.C. — A Harnett County man is headed to prison for a drunken driving wreck that killed two people.
A judge sentenced Claude Mason to at least two years in prison. He ran a stop sign last June and hit a pickup truck on N.C. Highway 27. A couple died and their teenage nieces survived the accident.
As part of Mason's sentence, he will have to spend the anniversary of the wreck in jail for the first two years after he is released.
