KNIGHTDALE, N.C. — Traffic is moving again along a stretch of Highway 64 that was closed for more than four hours Thursday after a tractor trailer carrying 40,000 pounds of peanuts was involved in an accident.
According to reports, the accident occurred about 6:45 a.m. in front of the Square D plant. A car was trying to pass the truck but lost control, clipped the front end of the truck and caused the truck to flip over.
Injuries are believed to be minor.
