RALEIGH, N.C. — The death of an old family friend may come back to haunt Mike Peterson.
Elizabeth Ratliff died nearly 20 years ago in Germany.
Ratliff was found at the bottom of the stairs, and it's believed Peterson was the last person who saw her alive.
German authorities opened an investigation into her death last fall.
Now, Army investigators are also asking questions. Agents are expected to meet with German investigators next week.
