HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — A construction worker moving a beam on a Holly Springs job site was killed when a cable that was holding the beam snapped. The beam fell on the worker, killing him instantly.
The accident occurred at Old Adams Road and South Main Sreeet. The construction being done was related to the Highway 55 bypass project.
The worker died about 1 p.m., about an hour after
a fatal construction accident at Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh.
