Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina State and Georgia Tech capped a perfect two days for the Atlantic Coast Conference in the NCAA tournament Friday.

All six conference teams have moved on to the second round.

Friday also marked only the second time in the NCAA tournament that the ACC's Big Four teams -- N.C. State, Duke, North Carolina and Wake Forest -- all reached the second round.

Duke, Wake Forest and UNC won first-round games Thursday. On Friday, Marcus Melvin led NCSU with 20 points as the Wolfpack eliminated the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns, 61-52.

N.C. State will play Vanderbilt at 2:40 p.m. Sunday in Orlando. The game will be televised live on WRAL.

Following NCSU's victory Friday, Georgia Tech preserved the ACC's perfect record. The Yellow Jackets blew a double-digit lead against Northern Iowa before fighting back to win, 65-60.

Next up for Georgia Tech: a Sunday meeting with sixth-seeded Boston College.

Round two tips off Saturday with several games featuring the ACC. Duke gets started at 1:10 p.m. against Seton Hall in Raleigh.

Wake Forest plays Manhattan following the Duke-Seton Hall game, at approximately 3:40 p.m., Saturday at the RBC Center.

Maryland takes on the Syracuse Orangemen at 5:40 p.m. Saturday. Carolina tips off against Texas at 8:10 p.m. Saturday in Denver.

You can catch all the other tournament games on WRAL digital.
