JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — Johnston County may get another Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC) store with an ironic twist.
The new liquor store would be located next to a store that bares the name of local moonshine legend Percy Flowers.
The state ABC board is expected to make a decision Friday morning.
Some residents spoke out against the ABC store at a public hearing Tuesday night in Johnston County. If it is approved, it would be the seventh ABC store in Johnston County.
