WILSON, N.C. — Two animal advocates no longer face criminal charges for practicing veterinary medicine without a license.
Max and Della Fitz-Gerald, who own an animal shelter in Wilson, were charged in February after an undercover investigator with the state saw them giving vaccinations without a license.
After getting all the paperwork from the veterinary board, the district attorney's office decided to drop the charges.
