SANFORD, N.C. — A house full of sewage could cost the city of Sanford.
Richard and Kathy Harrison are suing the city for negligence, claiming the sewer system was not maintained.
Their home was flooded in August when heavy rain backed up the city's sewer system.
The Harrisons have not been able to stay in their home.
