LINDEN, N.C. — A man ran his all-terrain vehicle off a 80-foot cliff north of Fayetteville Sunday and survived.
Dennis Dority, 52, was rescued by a Fort Bragg helicopter from a creek bed 2 miles from the nearest road.
Dority was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. A friend who was riding with him says he hurt his back and hips.
