RALEIGH, N.C. — Water in Raleigh will be treated a little differently beginning Monday.
For the next month, the city will not add ammonia to its water treatment. The change is a federal requirement to keep bacteria in the water from becoming ammonia-resistant.
The town of Cary will do the same.
Raleigh also starts charging a monthly
stormwater utility fee
on all property within city limits beginning March 1.
