FRANKLIN COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities believe winter weather was not a factor in a deadly accident in Franklin County.
Franklin County Sheriff officials said there was a head-on collision between a van and a pick-up truck on Highway 39 right in front of the Epsom Fire Department.
Firefighters heard the crash and rushed outside to help.
One person was killed and three others were injured.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
