According to police, the suspect entered the Bank Of America shortly before 10 a.m. Thursday. He approached a teller, displayed a black semi-automatic handgun and demanded money.
Police said the teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash, and he left the bank. He was last seen heading north on foot on Perkins Drive.
The suspect was described as being in his late 30s, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing between 240 to 250 pounds, with brown hair and a beard.
Witnesses said the man had a large bandage on his left cheek, a smaller bandage above or over his left eye, and a bandaged finger on his left hand. He also was wearing sunglasses, a red ball cap, and a navy blue wind suit with red and white stripes on the sleeves.
The man was photographed by bank surveillance cameras.
