PEMBROKE, N.C. — A Pembroke native's "American Idol" run is over.

, who performed Tuesday night, was trying to make the final cut of 12.
"American Idol" judge Simon Cowell said the 20-year-old had a good voice, but she really did not sell the song.
However, North Carolina is not totally out of the contest.
Fantasia Barrino, a 19-year-old teen from High Point, is in the final round for the "American Idol" title.
