Grand Jury Indicts Teens In Murder Of Wake Deputy

WAKE COUNTY, N.C. — A Wake County grand jury indicted three teenagers Wednesday in the death of a sheriff's deputy.

Matthew Grant, 18, is accused of shooting Deputy Mark Tucker two weeks ago.

Two of Grant's friends, Justin Franke and Lawson Rankin, are each charged as an accessory after the fact.

Investigators said they helped Grant hide the murder weapon and create an alibi.
