DURHAM, N.C. — The Durham Police Department is investigating a woman's death as a hit-and-run.
Officers responded to a call about a person on the 2400 block of Owen Street at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, they found a woman who appeared to have died a short time earlier.
An autopsy has determined that the woman died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head caused by being struck by a vehicle.
