Durham Police Investigate Fatal Hit-And-Run

The Durham Police Department is investigating a woman's death as a hit-and-run.

Officers responded to a call about a person on the 2400 block of Owen Street at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, they found a woman who appeared to have died a short time earlier.

An autopsy has determined that the woman died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head caused by being struck by a vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to call CrimeStoppers at (919) 683-1200. CrimeStoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to arrests in felony cases.
