Fayetteville Museum Works Out Payment Plan To Handle Debt

Posted Updated

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville's

Airborne and Special Operations Museum

has worked out its debt to the city.

Museum officials have now agreed to pay $800,000 a year for 10 years.

The museum owes the city $4.5 million in construction costs. Right now, the museum pays about $50,000 a year, which is not enough to cover the interest.

The museum director said the museum depends on annual funding from Fort Bragg more than ever and hope theater and flight simulator shows will bring in extra money.
