RALEIGH, N.C. — This year's fourth annual Raleigh marathon has been cancelled.
Organizers said they called off the marathon because they could not find a sponsor. They are hoping to reschedule it once they find a sponsor to sign a multi-year deal.
More than 600 runners pounded the pavement in last winter's race. This year's marathon had been scheduled for March 28.
