HOKE COUNTY, N.C. — No one will be charged in an accident that killed a 16-month-old boy this weekend.
Cahlil Monroe was in Hoke County playing with his dad in front of his grandmother's house.
State troopers say the boy saw relatives across the street and darted out into traffic.
A car hit him on Doc Brown Road.
The driver won't be charged, neither will the toddler's father, since he was in the yard with his son when the boy ran off.
