Henderson Commitee Continues Clearing Junk Cars

Posted Updated

HENDERSON, N.C. — The city of Henderson is not putting up with junk cars anymore and a program aimed at clearing the streets is proof.

In the past two weeks, the Clean-Up Henderson Committee removed nearly 900 vehicles. If parked on a street, officials said the junk cars would stretch 2½ miles.

Eight teams scoured the city looking for violators. The team that gets the most towed away will be recognized at the next committee meeting.
