<b>CHAPEL HILL, N.C.</b> — Testimony started Thursday in the trial of a former University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill football player accused of attempted rape.

According to police, Robert Harris attacked a female student inside her dorm last May.

Harris was a linebacker for the football team until a knee injury sidelined him in 2002.

The alleged victim took the stand Thursday afternoon. Testimony continues Friday.
