Posted Updated

LAURINBURG, N.C. — Officials said the woman accused of setting her rest home on fire is not competent to stand trial.

Prosecutors said Louanna Overton intentionally started the fire at Aberdeene Meadows in Laurinburg.

Health officials said Overton did not understand her actions.

Overton was initially charged with arson. Instead of going to trial, she will be committed.

No one was seriously hurt in the fire.
