GREENSBORO, N.C. — For the second straight day, there has been a wreck on Interstate 40/85 at Rock Creek Dairy Road in Guilford County.
According to the Highway Patrol, three people were hurt in Tuesday's accident. There was no word on their conditions.
Troopers said the wreck occurred around 1:10 p.m. It was not clear how many vehicles were involved in the latest accident.
Tuesday's accident shut down the southbound lanes. The northbound lanes remained open.
The same section of interstate was shut down for a time on Monday afternoon
after a 13-vehicle pileup that involved a pickup truck carrying two cases of dynamite.
One person was critically injured in that incident -- which actually was two chain-reaction accidents -- while several others were taken to the hospital.
