Rivers, Smith Top Winner's List at Triangle's First Sports Award Show

North Carolina State University quarterback Philip Rivers was named the athlete of the year at the Evening of Champions event.

Former University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill head coach Dean Smith received a lifetime achievement award.

The group also named the top 10 sports moments of 2003:
