RALEIGH, N.C. — The state Department of Transportation is honoring a former Tar Heel football legend.
A stretch of State Road 150 within the town limits of Cherryville is now named for Charlie "Choo Choo" Justice.
Justice was a two-time Heisman Trophy runner-up while playing for the Tar Heels.
He died in October at the age of 79 after a long illness.
