CARRBORO, N.C. — Carrboro police are investigating another burglary and rape.

A woman reported that she was raped in her home on Sue Ann Court Sunday evening. The attack was the third in Carrboro in little more than a week.

Two women were attacked in their apartments last week.

One of them was raped.

Investigators said they are not sure if the attacks are related but said the suspect descriptions in all three cases are similiar.

The suspect in Sunday's incident was described as a Latino male, approximately 30 years old, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches in height, with a thick build and round face. He also has dark, wavy hair parted down the center and some think facial hair.

The suspect reportedly spoke English with a slight accent and smelled of alcohol. He was wearing a sweatshirt without a hood, blue jeans and a belt.

Anyone who sees a person matching the suspect's description, or a composite previously released related to the other crimes, should call 911 or their local law-enforcement agency immediately.
