KINSTON, N.C. — A memorial service to honor the workers at Kinston's West Pharmaceutical Services plant will take place Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
The service was originally scheduled for Monday, but was postponed due to the weather, which made it difficult for company executives to fly from their Pennsylvania headquarters to North Carolina.
The service will be broadcast on closed circuit television to the patients and families at the North Carolina Jaycee Burn Center in Chapel Hill.
The service is not open to the public due to limited seating. It will be broadcast live on the WRAL NewsChannel, Time Warner Digital channel 256.
Five people died as a result of the blast.
