RALEIGH — Police in Raleigh are looking for a mansuspected of attempting to kidnap an Enloe High School student asshe left campus Friday afternoon.
Investigators say Kevin Darden, 20, faces charges of attemptedsecond-degree kidnapping and common-law robbery.
Authorities say a 16-year-old female student was walking to hercar parked on a side street adjacent to the high school. As sheapproached the car, she told police the suspect walked up behindher.
Armed with a gun, police say the suspect tried to force the student intothe car. While escaping, the girl dropped her car keys and thesuspect took the car, which was found abandoned nearby.
