YOUNGSVILLE, N.C. — The Highway Patrol said weather was a factor in a wreck involving a Franklin County school bus Thursday morning.
The bus was transporting six students to Cedar Creek Middle School when it slid off the road and into a ditch on John Mitchell Road, off of Highway 96 West, in Youngsville just before 8 a.m.
Officials said the bus sideswiped a tree.
The driver and three students were transported by ambulance to Franklin Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Three other students and an adult monitor were transported by the school system to the hospital as a precaution.
Everyone was treated and released.
The driver could face charges.
