RALEIGH, N.C. — Crabtree Valley Mall could soon have a few more places where you can grab a bite to eat.
Raleigh's Planning Commission approved a 74,000-square-foot expansion projec Tuesday night, which includes a new two-story building near Barnes & Noble and a new parking deck..
Mall leaders said several restaurants have already signed letters of intent.
The planning commission also approved a
site plan
for a new track and football stadium at St. Augustine's College.
Neighbors are worried it will bring more traffic. The commission recommended having the school pick up trash in nearby communities after big events.
The full Raleigh City Council must still vote on both the stadium and the Crabtree Valley Mall expansion plans.
