N.C., Pennsylvania Officials Seek Help Locating Wanted Fugitive

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is working with the Berks County Sheriff's Office in Reading, Penn., to locate a fugitive from the Berks County jurisdiction.

The suspect, Miguel Gonzalez, is believed to have recently been in the Wayne County area, where he has relatives.

Gonzalez, who was featured on "America's Most Wanted" last week, was tried, convicted and sentenced in Berks County Court, in absentia. He received a 21- to 42-year prison sentence for a series of aggravated felony sexual assaults.

He is officially designated a "sexually violent offender" under Megan's Law.
