CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte Sting broke a seven-game losingstreak Wednesday night with a 74 to 50 victory over the Detroit Shock.
Andrea Stinson led the team with 23 points. Dawn Staley added aseason-high 11 assists.
Allison Feaster scored 12 points for Charlotte. The teamimproved to two and 10 with the win. Clarisse Machanguana added 10points and nine rebounds while Shalonda Enis and Tammy Sutton-Brownscored nine points each.
Astou Ndiaye-Diatta scored 13 points for Detroit, which has lostfive straight to drop to 3-8 on the season. Claudia das Neves added11 points, all in the second half.
Staley set a team record eight assists in the first half asCharlotte built a 36 to 20 lead.
