CHARLOTTE — Former Duke Energy employees say they'll tella California legislature committee today that Duke manipulatedpower production to increase profits.
One worker says the log book from Duke's plant near San Diegoshows the company ordered hourly changes in power output.
Duke denies the allegations and says there are good reason forthe log entries. A company spokesman says the plant's increases anddrops in production were based on market needs.
The three workers lost their jobs in April when Dukereorganized.
