Military Leaders Say Fort Bragg Tops In Retention Rate

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — Fort Bragg reports good news in its fight to keep soldiers in uniform.
Commanders say the post leads the army in re-enlistments.
So far, Fort Bragg met 77 percent of its goal for new recruits also known as "initial term" soldiers, 87 percent for mid-career soldiers and 109 percent for career troops.
Officers say the key to the high retention rate is families. If families are happy, often more soldiers re-sign.
