Four Arrested In Connection With Sampson County Homicide

The Sampson County Sheriff's Office has arrested four men in connection with a fatal shooting at a nightclub over the weekend.

responded to a report of “shots fired” at Club Annette’s located at 3460 Lisbon Bridge Road in Garland, NC around 5:30 AM on July 25, 2004. Deputies intercepted a vehicle containing a shooting victim, who later died at Sampson Regional Medical Center. The deceased is identified as Dwayne King, a black male with a 08/13/1978 date of birth.

Detectives from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the case. Warrants for first-degree murder have been issued for two suspects, they are:

Orenthal James McIntyre (Alias: OJ McIntyre) Black/Male HGT: 5’3 WGT: 120 EYES: Brown HAIR: Black

Jerris Andre Spearman (Alias: Dre Spearman) Black/Male HGT: 6’0 WGT: 189 EYES: Brown HAIR: Black

Jerris Andre Spearman, was sent to UNC Medical Center in Chapel Hill, NC for wounds received during the shooting. Hospital officials released Mr. Spearman before notifying the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives are also seeking a person of interest in regard to the homicide for questioning, who is identified as:

Timothy Beatty (Alias: Timbo Beatty) Black/Male HGT: 6’0” WGT: 168 EYES: Brown HAIR: Black

Bruce Jordan Spencer, Jr., turned himself in to Sampson County Sheriff’s Office personnel on July 25, 2004 around 7:00 PM. Mr. Spencer was charged with first-degree murder and is currently in the Sampson County Detention Center without bond.

The suspects were last seen operating a late 80’s tan Oldsmobile or Chevrolet Caprice passenger vehicle.

Investigators from the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating the case. Anyone with information relating to the homicide/shooting is encouraged to call the Sampson County Sheriff’s Office at (910) 592-4141
