Six Arrested In Fayetteville Drug Bust

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Cumberland County deputies arrested six people Thursday as they executed two drug search warrants in the Shaw Heights area of Cumberland County.

The first search took place at 5856 Holland Street in Fayetteville. A small amount of crack cocaine, handgun ammunition, and more than $300 in cash was seized. Lazarus Mark Michael Wright, 23, and his girlfriend, 17-year-old Erica Cherie Gainey, were charged with multiple drug offenses to include maintaining a dwelling.

Wright also was charged with assaulting three deputies at the time of his arrest.

The second search warrant was served at 1715A Shaw Road. During this search a trafficking amount of crack cocaine, a quantity of marijuana, two stolen assault rifles, a handgun, and over $600.00 in cash was seized. The following individuals were charged with multiple drug offenses:

Dominic Jermaine Smith, 24, of 52055 Corrinna Street Fayetteville.

George Horace Henry III, 24, of 10366 Lemon Tree Court, Monasses Virginia.

Clifton Lashawn Delwayne Currie, 21, of 2317 Lake Ave. Fayetteville.

Yosbany Edwin Moore, 20, of 1717 Shaw Road.

They will all have a first appearance tomorrow morning in District Court.
