WILSON, N.C. — A Wilson man went from trash to cash this week, spending three hours in a Dumpster to find a winning lottery ticket.
Wallace Woodard bought three Winter Wonderland tickets, but he threw them away when he thought he lost.
A few days later, Woodard bought a couple more tickets and realized as he read the fine print that one of his trashed tickets actually was a $100,000 winner.
He searched through a Dumpster at work and found the winning ticket after three hours.
