Macys.com Signs On To Use SAS Software

Posted November 16, 2006

— Macys.com will utilize software from

SAS

to customize its merchandizing process.

Macys.com, a division of Federated Department Stores, has picked Marketmax planning software from SAS. The company also plans to use financial management software offered by SAS.

“Macys.com stocks warehouses, not stores,” said Kent Anderson, president of Macys.com. “We need to be able to customize our reporting and assortment planning. There’s a lot of useful data within Federated, and we needed a suite of tools to model the data differently to fit the unique Macys.com business model.”
