Shelton Leadership Forum Set At NCSU

RALEIGH, N.C. — William Cohen, a former secretary of defense in the Clinton administration, will be the keynote speaker at the General Henry Hugh Shelton Leadership Forum on Nov. 17.

The conference will take place at the McKimmon Center on the North Carolina State University campus.

Shelton, a retired former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, served with Cohen at the Pentagon. Cohen now runs The Cohen Group.

The conference theme is “Leadership From the Top: Shaping the Organizational Culture.” Shelton also will address the event as will Suzanne Burns, vice president and general manager of Eaton Corporation; and Stephen Zelnak, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of Martin Marietta Materials.

The event is put on by the Shelton Leadership Initiative. Shelton is the executive director. The Initiative is administered by the NCSU Office of Extension and Engagement.
