SPRING LAKE, N.C. — Spring Lake police are investigating a death that occurred inside a mobile home Saturday night.
The Spring Lake Police Department said that a man died as a result of an apparent struggle during a home invasion. The alleged intruder cut the lock to the victim's residence to get inside, police said.
Investigators have not released any other details about the case, such as the victim's identity or whether a suspect is in custody.
The area surrounding the residence at
1414 Berdene St.
was sealed off just after midnight. Authorities also conducted a search in a nearby wooded area.
