<b>HENDERSON, N.C.</b> — The name of a man killed in Vance County's first homicide of the year has been released.

The sheriff's office said a relative found the body of Donald Brooks, 55, on the back porch of his home on Warrenton Road Thursday afternoon.

Authorities haven't released any information about the cause of death or a possible motive.

The State Bureau of Investigation is helping the Vance County Sheriff's Department with the case.
