Two Killed, One Injured In Lenoir County Shootings

KINSTON, N.C. — Two men are dead and another critically injured after a shootout late Friday evening in Lenoir County.
Lenoir County sheriff's officials said the incident occurred around midnight behind a residence on Highway 258 near the Greene County line. After the shooting, one of the men managed to make his way onto the highway and flag down a sheriff's deputy.
The man who alerted authorities was in critical condition at Pitt Memorial Hospital. The other two shooting victims were found dead at the scene.
Authorities said they have not yet obtained a description of the person or persons responsible for the shootings. The incident remains under investigation.
