Lenovo Lands Another Sports Marketing Relationship, This Time With NBA

RALEIGH, N.C. — Lenovo
, the worlds third-largest personal computer manufacturer, continues to broaden its marketing efforts, signing another sports deal.
The latest is with the National Basketball Association.
The NBA will use a variety of Lenovo laptop and desktop PCs in all 30 NBA arenas for recording and reporting statistics from NBA games.
Lenovo and the NBA also have developed the Lenovo Stat, which will evaluate players overall performances as a plus/minus statistic based on the impact individual players have while they are in the game.
Lenovo has worked in the past with the Winter Olympics as well as the soccer World Cup.
