DURHAM, N.C. — A Durham man accused of killing a man outside a mall entered a guilty plea Wednesday in connection with the case.

Barry Evans had been charged with murder in the death of Harvey Denard Wiggins in November 2004, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter and received probation.

Police said the shooting occurred inside a car, which was parked in an isolated area of the parking lot at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham.

Another man, Julius Gray, of Raleigh, is also charged with murder in connection with the shooting. He is still in jail.
