Posted Updated

RALEIGH, N.C. — Wake investigators cited Oliver House Tuesday for its failure to adequately care for an 85-year-old resident.

Investigators said a rest home aide was busy doing laundry when Willard Raper wandered away on Jan. 4.

Raper was later struck and killed by a Jeep.

The facility could face a $10,000 fine.
