DURHAM, N.C. — Police on Tuesday identified the owner of a burned-out truck found Monday with a dead body inside, but they still haven't identified the body.
The truck was found burning Monday morning on a trail off Massey Chapel Road Monday. The body of a Hispanic man was in the back seat, police said.
The man had been shot, but police declined to say how many times.
Police said the owner of the gray, 2001 Chevrolet Silverado dooley truck is believed to be Juan Jose Martinez Castillo. Investigators haven't located him yet.
